Mainly used as a catalyst for rigid polyurethane foam
N,N-Dimethylcyclohexylamine can be used in a wide range of rigid foams. One major application is in insulating foams, including formulations for aerosols, boards, laminates, and refrigeration. N,N-Dimethylcyclohexylamine is also suitable for the manufacture of rigid foam furniture frames and decorative components. In rigid foam products, this catalyst can be used alone as the primary catalyst without the addition of organotin compounds, or it can be used in conjunction with JD series catalysts depending on process and product requirements. It is also used as a rubber accelerator and an intermediate in synthetic fiber production.
It is used as a dye intermediate in the production of vanillin, azo dyes, and triphenylmethane dyes. It can also be used as a solvent, stabilizer, and analytical reagent. It is also used as a catalyst.
