General information

Monoisopropylamine (MIPA) is a hygroscopic colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor. It is miscible with water and flammable. It is a valuable intermediate in the chemical industry. It is used in agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and dyestuff. It is a regulating agent for plastics, intermediate in organic synthesis of coating materials, plastics, pesticides, rubber chemicals, pharmaceuticals and as an additive in the petroleum industry.

Usage:

Isopropylamine (also called Mono-isopropylamine; MIPA) is a versatile intermediate with a variety of applications. The main applications can be found in the field of agricultural chemical: to produce glyphosate, atrazine and other triazine herbicides, bentazone, etc. MIPA is also used to produce surfactants and active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Storage:  Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
