Amines, C16-18-alkyldimethyl is insoluble in water and its density is lower than that of water. So it floats on the water. It is soluble in alcohol. Contact may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. May be toxic by ingestion, inhalation or skin absorption. Used in the manufacture of other chemicals.
