DESCRIPTION: This product is a low viscosity, long chain aliphatic mono epoxide reactive diluent based on C12-C14 alcohol. It is compatible with all types of epoxy resins in any proportion. Resins diluted with this chemical can be suitably cured by epoxy curing agents for a variety of applications. A higher proportion of this product imparts flexibility in the cured system and hence affects glass transition temperature significantly.
Alkyl (C12-C14) Glycidyl Ether
Product Description:
Alkyl (C12-C14) Glycidyl Ether, also known as AGE, is a clear, colorless, oily liquid with a mild odor. AGE has low
volatility, low toxicity, low color, excellent substrate and filler wetting ability. The recommended maximum dosage
of AGE is 20% of the resin formulation.
Applications:
AGE is primarily used as a viscosity reducing modifier in epoxy resin formulations. It is useful for resinous floor
toppings, casting compounds, coatings, adhesives and electrical encapsulation systems. AGE is used as a
chemical intermediate.
Chemical Formula:
C12~14C3H5O2
