China Creates World’s Strongest Carbon Fiber! Less Than 1/10 the Diameter of a Human Hair!
Today (November 11th), my country will globally launch its independently developed T1200-grade ultra-high-strength carbon fiber. This breakthrough fills a gap in the global field and marks a significant leap forward for my country in the production of ultra-high-strength carbon fiber.
The T1200-grade ultra-high-strength carbon fiber launched today was independently developed by China National Building Materials Group. Notably, it is not a laboratory sample but an industrial product with the capacity for mass production at the hundred-ton level. This makes my country the first country in the world to achieve this level of carbon fiber mass production at the hundred-ton level.
Simply put, the diameter of T1200-grade carbon fiber is less than one-tenth the thickness of a human hair, but its tensile strength is 10 times that of ordinary steel, while its density is only one-quarter that of steel, making it exceptionally lightweight and strong. With these superior properties, it can be widely used in strategic emerging industries such as aerospace, low-altitude economy, and humanoid robots.
