Several Middle Eastern countries reported on the 19th that their energy facilities had been attacked by Iranian missiles and drones. Kuwait National Oil Company ( issued a statement saying that its Port Al-Ahmadi refinery was attacked by a drone and caught fire . The company is currently handling the situation “at the highest security standards,” and there have been no reports of injuries.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed that debris from an intercepted missile impacted the country’s Habshan gas facility and Bab oil field . The Habshan gas facility has been temporarily shut down. No casualties have been reported so far.

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior and Qatar Energy Company said that a fire broke out in the country’s Ras Raffan industrial city due to an Iranian missile attack , causing extensive damage, but no casualties have been reported. Shell Group issued a statement saying that the attack caused a fire at its plant in the area. The situation is now under control and the damage is being assessed. According to Al Jazeera, Ras Raffan is home to the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said on social media that Saudi Arabia convened a meeting of representatives from multiple countries, arguing that the attacks violated the sovereignty of other countries and contravened international law, and called on Iran to immediately cease the attacks .

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that a spokesperson for the Hatam Anbia Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces stated that the attack on Iran’s energy infrastructure was a “major mistake .” He emphasized that if Iran’s energy infrastructure is attacked again, Iran’s response will be even more forceful than before.

Al Jazeera, citing industry analysts, reported that European gas prices could surge this winter due to the threat of war between Israel and the United States against Iran to global gas supplies. Even if tensions ease quickly, supply disruptions could persist for an extended period.
